All the way from Florida, Annie Dotzauer visited Bonaire in July to train the entire staff of MoltenWolf Glass. Annie is not just an accomplished artist, but also a passionate mentor, leading glass fusing clubs, and teaching artists new skills. We were all eager to meet her and to learn from her during a full week of training.
The shop remained closed for this occasion, as we focused entirely on learning new techniques under Annie’s expert guidance.

Painting-like Glass Art and New Functional Pieces
It was very interesting learning this new way of making glass fused art. Annie revealed the secrets of how to create painting-like glass art that looks just like strokes of paint on a canvas. We were all left inspired by the artistic possibilities that opened up before us.
But Annie’s teachings didn’t stop there! She also taught us extra skills, such as a new way of decorating glass using the tiniest molds. This enables us to create the most intricate designs from glass, which we can use to decorate basically anything with, such as our ornaments.
Additionally, we learned how to make wire wrapped jewelry, and how to turn glass bottles into hand-painted glass charcuterie boards. Over the next few months we will be introducing these new items in our shop, so keep an eye out on our social media!

A Big Thank You to Annie
The week of training proved to be an unforgettable and fun experience. Annie’s dedication and passion for her craft were evident throughout the lessons, as she patiently guided each one of us through all the steps of the techniques. With enthusiasm, she inspired us to push the boundaries of our creativity. So, we want to give our heartfelt thank you to Annie Dotzauer, for sharing her expertise with us. Her willingness to teach her knowledge and empower our team to explore the possibilities of painting-like glass art has been such a joy and something we will never forget!
