What happened in the past three months?

Well. It seems like we have accumulated so much content that we can’t fit it all in our newsletter anymore. So we decided to start a blog!

Here, we will be keeping you in the loop of what we have been up to in our shop. New blog posts, sales and upcoming events will still be announced in our newsletter. If you haven’t yet you can still sign up – find the link at the bottom of this page.

All that aside, let’s get into what’s been going on in our shop these past three months!

Pop-Up Art Gallery

On February 18th, we hosted our first Pop-Up Art Gallery, starring artist Femke aka ‘For Little Art’. Femke’s art is inspired by the ocean and all colors of nature. Her favorite art technique is ‘pouring art’, where she lets special pouring acrylic paint flow over the canvas using a blowdryer.

She also displayed her  ‘wave art’, which is created by spreading acrylic paint across the canvas with a toothbrush.

In the back of our shop, we created a little art studio for Femke.

Here, she was doing a life painting session, using pouring acrylics and a blowdryer. It was fun to watch an art piece coming to life like that! Find her on Instagram: @forlittleart.

We will be hosting 3 more Pop-Up Galleries this year, and the next one  will be coming up on May 6th starring Wanika Art.

Valentine's day

Many months in advance we were preparing for Valentine’s Day. The storage was stocked with love-themed necklaces, decorative pieces and dishes. If you walked into our store in February, the hearts were hard to miss!

To celebrate this day, we organized a Giveaway contest on our social media. The lucky winner received a heart-shaped necklace.

We will be doing more contests throughout the year, so make sure to follow us on Instagram or Facebook if you want a chance to win unique glass art.

Other news: art talk

Did you notice we changed our monthly events name ‘Meet The Artist’ to ‘Art Talk’?

This name better reflects what those nights are about, and it gives the opportunity for other artists to come and talk about their art as well.

If you’d like to know more about what talk about during these nights, check out our Events page. You can also read back on every presentation we have had here.
